The E-nabling NT Roadshow is also about the technologies needed to deliver the resources and learning processes we need to deliver elearning solutions.

Linkage to the Internet. We are using the Telstra 3G network and using their new gateways to provide access.

Software

We are using web application technology to deliver a sophisticaed capbility through an interface that is really easy to manage and update.  This includes a content management system CMS (Click here to learn about CMS systems).  The actual underlying components are built in coldFusion, the same application used to build myspace (Click here to visit mySpace) and things like the Federal Governments 2020 website.  We are ab le to put powerful tools like this in place because of some advances in technology such as Railo.

Servers

We also have servers in the MALU's that hold all of the resources.  This is using website technology utilising Content management systems, this means all the tools you need to edit the site are built into the site.  This allows you to continulally update the materials in the site.
